i used it on mine until the scab is gone, its best to warm the tube up in a cup of warm water thought first makes it easier to apply

Yep Prep H is fab for tattoos... also good for bags under the eyes

I dont know where all this thing is about not using vaseline and you cant wait for the scab to drop off... keeping it moisturised helps lock in the colour and it will heal without scabbing. If you have a scab and knock it or are one of those people who cant do anything with a scab but pick it, it lifts the colour right out

:)

Bad Manners now theres a blast from the past!

I was told not to use vasalline by my tattooist.

Its a petrolieum jelly... It can pull out the colour & leave blotches.

well, after advice from the tattooist, I only got one tattoo today so i can focus fully on getting it healed properly and correctly. then when thats done i'll go back and get the other. also switch positions as the slinky sybol is symmetrical and therefore will probs look better in the middle of my back.

so i got the crasher lion on my upper right arm. took about 30 mins and cost £50, the other one he'll do for £40 so thats £10 cheaper than i got quoted in the first place.

Im so happy with it :) love it.

just taken the 'bandage' off and cleaned it for the first time. and he told me to use original cocoa butter on it. did ask him about bepanthen but he said some people dont react well to it so he always uses organic stuff and finds cocoa butter the best, so ill try it.

pics :(

thanks :)

I was give a sheet to guide me through after-care. wash 3 times daily, dab dry with clean towel then apply a very thin film of cocoa butter. from second day onwards.

have to say it really didnt hurt as much as i thought it would. but i guess i went into it not knowing and not having seen one before, so expecting the worst. kinda bad though, now i want more and more! will see how much the one on my back hurts :P

Quick question, would it be a good idea to put clingfilm over it during the night or should i let it breathe. last night i kept waking up on my right hand side :( and finding smudges of black on my pillow and duvet. looks like itshould be ok but dont want to screw it up. also would it be a good idea to do this when i go to work? wearing a shirt which is impossible to roll up that high and plenty of arm movement going on throughout the day too :)
