Hi i'm Nick, i'm 16 and live in Pembrokeshire Wales. I'd already started a project thread on another forum so i'll just start from the start again here ^_^
My mini is a 1975 Bl mini, down on documents as a morris, my plans are to make her into a fully retro morris cooper look alike and maybe do a few things to it's 998 unit to make it worthy of a cooper badge :) I hope to have her finished by April 2008 for my 17th B-day with a lot of help from my dad . I bought her in Aug and most of the stripping down work was done within a day or two. Since then it's just been a case of getting rid of the rust spots, ordering the new panels, A LOT of welding and that's where we're at at the moment. So i'm sure you all love pics, and i have pleanty; here they are up to today:
All welding has been done now, my dad spot welded the wings on today ( 28/9/07 ) The only welding left are the plates for the mk1 lights conversion :D The car's been undersealed ect. Will post more pics in the next few days, all comments welcome :P

Hey guys thanks for the comments again. Had a good day at Combe yesterday, was awesome seeing the minis fly around even if i was there in a vectra lol,
Bought some group 2 arches, Mk1 rear light conversion plates and some vertical seem finishers. So today me and my dad had a go at fitting the conversion plates while i stripped more of the dash. Here are some pics :

Ha cheers, i decided to go down the retro route than the modified route, i'll bechanging the colour to the red and black combo like the old coopers (i'm sure a few of you would rather keep the original colour) but the plans are after a few years to do it to a cooper spec. with a new engine, so that's the colouri'm going for.....please don't eat me lol :)

Nice mini mate.
I have attached a picture of my 1971 mk3 done is a simular style.

How about keeping the reto colours going? I think your original colour is cool especially with the original interior.

How many other original shelled early MK3's are out there? Attach some pictures lets all have a look. I mean propper Mk3's rather that re-shelled ringers!!
