a retro mini its good to see people our age getting into cars like minis and such as well to be honest all my friends are getting clav sleds, and it just means another mini is kept on the road as opposed to being scrapped.

Ye the interior will be colour coded like the seats and carpet are, black with red piping, should work out alright i hope

I totally agree that old cars are so much better than todays french chav mobiles, so much more character and history

Started maskin now so will look to be spraying the primer in a week or so....excicting times =P

Hey, another update....
It's been 3 months since i got my mini and today we started priming for the spray Been fitting all the pretty bits nd bobs to make sure they all fit and drill the body before the nice new shiny paint goes on, so here are some pics from today.....will be ordereing the paint on monday then things get colourful =P

wehey!! i have an early mk3 too!!! mine is '71 and ive gone retro too, but more retro rally! i wish mine had all the original parts like the swithes and the pump for the washers etc, unfortunately it was reshelled into an 80's shell, but ive put it all right, centre clocks and other mk2/3 parts. shame your not keeping the colour, but it is yours!!!

A lot of people have said that about the colour, i understand what they mean but it's my car and if i kept it the colour it was then i wouldn't like it so much...if you get what i mean

Anyways....my dad had a day off today, he's sprayed the inside, engine bay, boot and undersides of the car and she's looking greaaat atm
Can't wait to see what the rest of the car will look like, a lot of rubbing to do first though, keep tuuuuned
