The 1300gt gearbox uses different type of bolt holes for the remote housing,Bolts in from the side rather than from below on the `s`although it`s going to be a replica u won`t see that
I've never seen a 1300 GT as they never made it over here. However, are you SURE about the remote being different? Yes, the Austin America (grown up MG-1100) had a different remote housing that used the sandwich plate you're talking about. But the 1300 GT was supposed to be BL's successor to the Cooper-S, not a variant of the ADO16 family. I would have thought the 1300 GT would have retained the Cooper-S gearbox in some cheapened form. Guessworks...?

I have noticed 2day while cutting the floor out there is two holes one each side on the rear subframe panel with plastic clips pushed into them (almost look like a fancy rawplug.) it looks to be properly done and not dodged like so many other parts of the car just wondered if anyone knows what they really are?? clip the carpet in vertically?
Was the mk1 s servo fitted to any other cars ie an allegro ??
Really enjoying cracking into my project now work has tailed off for the winter. shame it gets dark so early. hope my project is still enjoyable at the end and hasn't turned into a chore.

The Mk1 servo was pretty unique to the Mini. There was a Bendix version of the Mk1 servo built in Italy. Not only was it used on the Innocenti Mini, it was also used on some model of Alfa. I inquired about this years ago only to find that the Bendix servo (while available from Alfa parts supplier) cost WAY more than the Mini Spares reproduction for the Mini. I no longer have the correspondence about what model of Alfa used the Bendix servo. Sorry.

i take it that means it will mean a differnt crank seeing as they are off set.
Nope, dont' think so,... The piston head swings freely on the Gudgeon Pin remember, allowing the pistons to move up and down freely at a slight angle.

oh so when you say offset you mean the bores have been moved forwards and backwards (if your looking at engine in the car)?? i thought they meant the outer 2 bores had been moved left/right to allow more room in the middle if you know what i mean, only slightly but it all helps.

apparently it is for the breather pipe. not sure how tho?
I stupidly cut the plastic item out before measing its location so if anyone has the dimention of its location i would appriciate that. thought i had already marked it onto the new panel but i had marked another hole instead. measure twice cut once, hum failed! thanks
