Oh dear, I've been listening to the music of the late Glenn Miller who disappeared 70 years ago. I love all types of music, but to me there is nothing to compare with the music of Glenn Miller. There was nothing back in my young days either. Even the Beatles, Presley, etc, whilst good, couldn't touch the magic of Mr. Miller's arrangements and his band's playing of them.
I guess that makes me seem very un-cool, but try listening to him with an open mind and realise that one man has scored the music for each instrument separately, then put it all together to create such sounds.
I am a big fan of Glenn Miller!

Always gives me goosebumps that track.
I am currently listening to Lissie's album "Back to Forever" and really love it. The first two tracks "The Habit" & "Further Away (Romance Police)" are my favourite.

That has always been beautiful. Try listening to 'My Heart Stood Still' by them. It is truly wonderful.

you underestimate us youngsters if you think that makes you un-cool Cooperman! Im also a massive Glenn Miller fan... cant go wrong with a bit of Ted Heath, Jelly Roll Morton, or Lionel Hampton either.
personal favorite of mine.
and now to take things to the complete opposite end of the scale.... this is the song im addicted to at the moment. includes what i can only describe as one of the most beautifully structured/executed guitar solos ive ever heard

I got an Artie Shaw CD for Christmas and I have been playing it over & over ever since. He was a clarinet perfectionist.
Check out his stuff on You Tube.
