after speaking to my mechanic friend who's giving me a hand with getting the car through its next MOT it doesnt look like it will be going through any more MOT's

the rear subframe mount (where it bolts to the main part of the shell) has been cut away and replaced (probably due to rust) with chickenwire and fibreglass!

there isnt a single panel on the car thats worth saving, most of it is filler

front turret mounts are also just as bad

SO

it looks like im going for a re-shell now, before the start of summer!

i already have what could possibly be either a 89' shell or 69' clubman shell depending on what my friend decides he wants to keep, and me and a couple of mates could build it up without too many problems.

just a pain in the backside

so if anyone has any tips/tricks/parts/doors etc then let me know plz, as this is now severly urgent!

my thanks TMF, James

If you reshell, would you be willing to chop up your front end and sell it to me? Need some straight wings and a front panel for the racer. :fear:

like the shell shame even 1500 is too much, im gonna have some of thier polycarbonate windows when its finished though

would it be easier/cheaper to buy a new car? as whatever it is i do has to be ready for August as it needs to be run in and tested before the run!
