would it be easier/cheaper to buy a new car? as whatever it is i do has to be ready for August as it needs to be run in and tested before the run!

Probably is, you can still get bargains even today- look at my red clubman. Nice little car with loads of goodies cost only £670.

Definatly cheaper / easier then spending £1500 on a new shell.

looks like i might be after a new car! but im off to see the car in the next hour so ill get some pics if i can, snows playing havoc with everything round here!

Dave aka Siggy was a 1275GT (original spec) which if i remember he was selling.

Why not contact him about that?

chickenwire and fibreglass isnt leyland mini_resto, its called a bodge job in the past

i cant believe this was professionally restored in 1999

With the minus shells are they alot smaller than a standard mini shell
