Any other ways to solve what is becoming an increasing annoyance at this time of year will be appreciated.....

I checked the kitchen this morning, and the only thing I could possibly give them is a lime each. That'll annoy 'em....

I live in a really busy little road.... with a primary school at one end of it and the town high street at the other!! I've already seen about three little witches, spiderman, a day glow skeleton and a tiny devil running past.... all before 10 am!!

Wish me luck for tonight, I am actually going to go and spend our hard earned cash on some treats for the kids. Our plan was to pretend we were out, but I'm truly worried that next time our cars are parked outside some of the older kids will decide they don't like us any more....

I feel pushed into taking part, even though I hate the whole idea of 'trick or treat'.... it scares me to think of all the kids out tonight, not knowing who's door they're knocking on.....

I get quite a few kids come round, so I just shove some sweets in their bag and tell them to stay safe. Some of them are stupidly young and shouldnt be going around on their own at that age. Even if they are dressed scary!!!

When I was a kid we used to live on a street full of Yanks, this was before the custom had made it's way back across the pond in its hideous mutilated form. The toe rags off the local estate weren't about to miss a trick though so we got plenty of teenage yobs in bin bag capes making demands with menaces. One of my fondest childhood memories is the sight of my old man laying into one of them with a dustbin lid he was using as an improvised riot sheild after an egg nearly smashed through the front window

I think wrapping up 1/8th ounces of sherbet in twists of cling film and cutting up blotting paper into little squares with pumpkins printed on them would produce the most effective treats. Think I'd go for the real McCoy with the Viagra though.

I don’t mind too much if it’s little tots dressed up and accompanied by and adult, but I do object to teenagers who have bought Freddie masks from the corner shop.

A good way of getting rid of these older scrotes is to tell them that you don't believe in pagan festivals and then invite them in to talk about the Lord, Christianity and offer to read to them from the Bible. Also tell them that you feel that they have strayed from the path of righteousness and that you are worried for their souls in the afterlife.

Works every time and word soon gets around and others will avoid you like the plague.
