I rarely get migraines, but I suffer from chronic headaches! :P Man, they are BAD, on average I get about one or two per WEEK.

I use Paramol tablets (which has a little Codeine added to the Paracetamol) most of the time, but I also have to use proper Codeine tablets for when the pain is REALLY bad (as in hitting my head against the wall, actually relieves the pain, BAD!).

If I ever have a drugs test, I'm gona have a result like that of a smack-head that's just been to his dealer! :P I use that much of the damn stuff that I'm becoming tollerant of the Codeine......not good for the pain! :P

Oh, and pot DOES actually help with Migraines - not that I would know about that or anything.... ;D

I take nurofen migraine relief now, as the prescription medication made me drowsy and i operate dangerous machinery, but you should try to take pain relief when you first feel one coming on, ive had migraines since i was at school.

:) That's no way to talk about ickle Manfred!

I think it's Forumitis - too much time on line. I find a shower 'n a head massage helps; also chewing, as it encourages blood flow to the facial muscles.

Working on yer Mini is great therapy for lots of ills: takes your mind off the pain and is nice gentle exercise  - well some jobs are.

You'll know when you have a migraine because they bloody hurt!!!

Usually but not always, migraines make you sick, and also get blurry vision. It feels like someone has put a head in a vice too!! Not nice!! Hurts to look at light or be in a bright room.
