Keep the paint in the house, put the can by a radiator so the paint doesnt go all cloggy as it can be awful to paint with cans in the cold.

Use a hairdryer to warm the panels before you paint to and gently blow it over whilst you lay the paint on too

yep - I'm going to put reggie in the barn and have some heaters going near him too, to warm him up!

DJH did say its best to wait for warmer weather, but with the horrid weather, I'd rather get it done and sorted before all the gritters and salt gets to him

Well you can always redo it in the warmer weather if your not happy with it, as you say at least it will be protected.
