Reeties....

Thought I'd put some photos up of what's going to be done on Tuesday... ;D

Firstly, there's the front panel, which we knew about. This is being cut out and plated with metal: (not a great photo, but the floor was wet, so I wasn't gonna sit on it! :()

Drivers side headlight seam:

Drivers side scuttle join. When it was done initially, metal filler was used... not the proper sealant stuff (that right, Chris?). So the bit on the left isn't rust, it's just the filler that couldn't be sanded properly. Then there's the crack on the right. You can also see along the seam on the left - there's surface rust spots all the way down, underneath the trim.

Passenger side scuttle - and again, tiny rust spots on the seams:

Passenger side under headlight - the seam has split, but more worryingly, it's started to bubble down towards the arch, on the far right :(

That's it though..

I think he's done quite well over winter, to be honest. He's been driven daily and has had a ridiculous amount of bad weather to deal with, and all the salty roads!!

even if £300 is pricey for the tiny amounts of rust on him and even if it's silly to get the whole front end done for these little things, I'm not bothered.... :( I know that he'll be perfect after this, so its worth it! :(

Whilst on the hunt for my polish (I think Nora's stolen it ) - I was in the barn and found something... =]

It came with reggie, but I'd completely forgotten about it! :dontgetit:

So........

I've just fitted his boot carpet!! :alien:

:D!

The only thing is... I'm left with this piece:

Posted Image

I have no idea where it goes!!

I thought it might go along the back of the seats... I really want it to fit there, because it makes it nice and tidy all round... but it's too short :dozing:

Any ideas!? ^_^

if you crouch down and look in the boot, that bit goes on the back of where the rear seats are

You've posted a near perfik piccy of where to stick it Miss Bean ('n it's not for his petrol belly) - I'll let you puzzle over it a bit longer =]

Make sure they do a really good job of prepping and blasting that rust so your £300 lasts. I'd also get rid of the edge trim from under his nose, can't see it do much more than hold moisture in.

I reckon it lines the boot lid, Bean!
There's a central cut out at the top to fit round the lock, and there are bilateral cut outs at the bottom to fit round the boot hinges.
The would look reet smart!
=]

EDIT: Soz Eff. I spoiled your game. You posted too quickly...
