I haven't even taken him around the shows properly yet and he's started to crack :D

So I'm getting this sorted and will work on him for 8 weeks whilst he's stored away... getting his interior as gorgeous as his exterior! :D

If you own 2 cars it would be ridiculous not to use them both. £20 for a power run doesn't sound bad at all 'n I'm sure any half decent operator will discuss the results with you 'n may well pin down the idling fault with the diagnostics. Rust round seams is nearly always the outward signs of whats happening inside the joint. Have a thorough go at the back of the panels 'n get some rust neutraliser pumped as well in to the joints as possible.

My little man is booked into the bodyshop :withstupid:

He's having the rust taken off the front panel and a metal plate put in, the rust taken off the seams and re-sealed, the scuttle-to-wing joins re-sealed, the two front seams from roof-arch (both have tiny bits of surface rust on) re-done.... and the the whole front end re-sprayed from the windscreen forwards :(

I know it's a bit drastic, but it needs doing  because I won't be happy otherwise! ;)

Anyway ... he's going in on Tuesday 29th January, and he'll be done by Friday morning ;)

How much do you think this work should cost? I've accepted a price and I'm pretty sure that it's a good quote, but I want to make sure??

if it was just the front panel and it was just surface rust, then I would have done it myself... but as it goes, I'm getting lots more done, so I wouldn't do this myself...

not yet anyway ;) not with Reggie :(

And for the work that they do, £300 is brilliant - I think! ;) They re-sprayed my uncle's car... he caught the fence and scraped some paint off, and then he had the bonnet re-sprayed because of some stone chips... And his car is a 53 plate car, so has metallic paint - but their work was perfect!

And they're 0.6 miles from my house! I may not have much in my village, but I do have a bodyshop! :withstupid:
