Yer oil pump is buried too deep to leak to the outside. Rattles always sound worse if you're listening for them. Like we said before, if you've only become aware of low oil pressure since yo fitted the gauge it's unlikely it was any different beforehand. If you're also running an oil pressure warning light and he keeps that unlit I wouldn't worry too much. You could look at tweaking his oil pressure relief valve if you feel a need for a bit more pressure.

Just been out for a drive!! :ermm:

His temperature stays at 'N' as usual, his oil pressure is 50 normally and when he's stopped, it's at 25 (this is OK, yeah?)

He didn't stall once, like he used to....

But he's ridiculously noisey inside without doorcards!!!

Hadn't documented it already, so thought I had better:

14th Feb 2008 - The clocks were changed from the offset ones to the centre ones. The mileage, therefore, is out. I have got a photo of the two side by side, so I've got the record of figures and how much it is out by!

Posted Image

Only thing is, the plastic clocks weren't the originals either! They were reading about 10k too much, and now these ones have added about 9k!! So on the clock he's got about 19k more than what he has actually done!! :)

He's actually got really low mileage (sub 40k!) ... this is why I want to document the changes in an attempt to prove the mileage.

I've got a certificate when the others were put in, by the garage. So I wanted to do the same when I put the centre ones in, making it all legal and legit. I went down to the local police station and just asked them to authenticate the changes for me, but they wouldn't do it!! :(

If anyone's got any ideas about where to go to get it authenticated, could you let me know? I don't want to have added 9k (theoretically) to the car, if I can't prove that it's a genuine change!

Fankoo.

oh - and pikey did a cheeky mod to the centre clock :)

meaning that i have directional indicators, not just a single one at the top!! :(

He also put in the wiring for a rev counter, for me! :(
