Well - We moved Nora today, from her little home that she's lived in for 2 years. Well, I say home ... she's been parked on the gravel outside the front door! (I know, I know)

So, this is what she looked like before we started:





Her paintwork was as flat as a pancake



K has done a full service on Nora - And I've given her Reggie's 306 Diesel battery.

A fresh few litres of fuel and ...


She fired up straight away!

I took her for a drive up our farm lane and she's absolutely brilliant - Smooth changes, great timing, she's just amazing!

But her brakes are interesting!! DRUMS!!



And, as for the paintwork ...

Well - That wasn't flat for long!!










Though ... I think there's a bit of jealousy going on

I promise I'll keep him the same colours!

He will look mostly the same really - I'll keep his MPi, but tidy it all up a lot - Will actually probably end up with a front mounted rad, as it should. The side is OK, but think he'd benefit more from a more standard setup. He'll still have the MPi wheel, central clocks etc. Miiiight end up with a slightly different interior (still black though) - Depends how restrained I can keep my eBay finger!

He just needs a damn good over-haul though. He was partially done in 2006 (I think it was) - But not brilliantly, really. He's got some issues with rust etc - But I think the main thing is that he's getting to the point where he's starting to look tatty & he's needing more and more parts replacing all the time - And I can't do it whilst he's my daily drive.

He and I have been through too much for me to see him rot away to nothing - And whilst I could quite happily drive him for a few years yet, if I just patched him up, I couldn't do it to him - I'd rather see it done properly & also get some experience at working on him. (Which I've wanted to do for years - I like to think I have built up a basic knowledge of things now, but love to get stuck in to every aspect of working on things!)
