Reggie needs mk2 rear lights
Heh - Funny you should say ...

Mr Bland - Reggie will be staying almost the same as he is now - He will most definitely be staying in the same colour scheme, same retro look, same MPi engine - But he's getting a few additions ...

I've kept everything on that will keep him water-tight for now. Stupid numberplate wouldn't come off, lol!

Tough love's about right!

I poked him with a screwdriver today!

Whoops!!

So - I thought I would show the areas that I am concerned about and the reasons why he's being stripped!

Passenger side door:

Passenger side A-Panel:

Passenger side wing:

Scuttle:

Bonnet:

Driver's side wing:

And my main concern, the driver's side flitch edge:

So - I did have a poke around today, just to see what the state is and what sort of thing I'm looking at.

Well - Firstly I found out why the driver's side wheel ALWAYS rubs on the arch/front panel:

Who needs welds, when the paint will hold it together?!

Yep - There's one tiny weld on that panel, holding that whole corner together - The rest was just held together with the seam sealer!

Secondly, the passenger side has rusted through:

As per previous screwdriver shot, lol

Bonnet's knackered here and elsewhere:

But I knew that anyway!

The door is holed

Aside from this:

But that is literally surface from where the arch was attached and not sealed properly.
Unfortunately, the scuttle has a hole:

But I knew that anyway. Actually, I'm quite surprised it's so small - I thought it was much larger - Guess we'll see the full extent when the screen comes out - But we'll replace that section anyways.
So, all points of concern are marked in red:

Lol

Best dust off my brand new front panel that I bought for Ronnie, eh?

to be honest, I was going to replace the front, anyway - It has been repaired previously, so I would rather replace it and do it properly!

That's all for now, folks!
