if it's in an mpv, then get two scafolding planks and get them under the engine, then you can slide it out....

I havent got any tools with me as my toolbox is lying in my brothers garage !

I dont know what to do, i might try jacking it up and putting wheels on it so it is at least mobile. Its all lying inside a mpv.

I need to get it out now

Didn't give this much thought!!

Drive to your brothers garage get your tools and start to strip the engine from the frame, heag off etc etc. Otherwise you need at least 4 of your to get it out!!

To hire an Engine hoist will cost about £25 for a day and around £35 for a weekend. Probably your best option.

They'll be able to deliver and collect it too.

Good luck with it. As said already I think you would be best using an engine hoist

i really cant see that lot being lifted lol! i lifted an engine + subframe into the back of a ford escort van but it took 4 people and we had to slide it up some scaffold planks. if you cant hire a crane then you will have to improvise. maybe build a platform (a solid one) at the same height as the mpv boot and reverse up to it and slide the engine out?

Why don't you ask your neighbours to see if you could get them to give you a hand?

Ask the person who owns the car - bribe them, ie if you dont help then you will have to drive round with it for ages!

I'd try HSS Hire - cheap enough and national. Or a local garage maybe?
