Could anyone answer me a quick question- for spraying does it make much difference if the compressor is oil free or not?
Oil free would reduce the risk of paint contamination, although I'm not sure what they're like, not used one before. Best to ask at machine mart.
A 1.4 fluid setup is the best all rounder for spraying 2K.

Thanks again panelbeater I'll keep the advice in mind about the gravity fed gun and then the bigger compressor, as those guns would be much better but I don't think I can stretch to a 3hp compressor, not unless I go for one of those Sealey ones which are splashed allover ebay but I'm a bit suspicious of themYup that compressor would be ok, but ideally I'd go for this gun

You would need a larger compressor, but it's worth it. You use less material and it's easier use and clean.

2l of paint
1l of primer
5l of thinners
200ml of fast hardener
£110 - that reasonable? He said to drop in a couple of weeks prior to the spray date to pick up some lacquer

You will also need a big box of patience, and a large swearbox to collect all the money you will spend from swearing... you will probs make enough to pay for a respray
