im skint till tomorrow and need petrol but ive a cheque guarantee card >_<

i know shell and bp dont but what about supermarkets etc?

i know that tesco did.. but i dont know if they do now.

sainsburys might again i know they did in store.

Sainsburys stopped taking cheques in store a while back so I assume that they also wont in the petrol station...

you got one of those tesco pumps which you can put your card in...

i found more often than not as long as you have like a pound in your account it will accept your card and take a couple of days to come out.. Ive used that method before >_<

all the ones near me have stopped using them as they bring ALOT of fraudulent cards through as you dont even need to put your pin number in!

I'm not suggesting you do this... But my Mum once forgot her handbag when she went out for petrol, she went in to explain and they gave her 48 hours to return with full payment, before reporting a non-payment to the Police! That was at Tesco I think....


In this instance I would just ask someone to borrow a tenner to see you over the next day or two. Has to be better owing money to your Mum/Dad/mate than worrying about going overdrawn or spending money you know you haven't got... >_<

I've heard through the grapevine that cheques are slowly being phased out all over the place, soon we won't be able to use them at all.

as said before go to a tesco pump.the type where you put your cars in.as long as you have 50p on the card you can fill up to 60 quid.

It may take a couple of days to come out of your account, but the payment date will be recorded, and will send you overdrawn, and thus you'll incurr any associated charges..
