Those are the custom consoles ones that i don't want - they look like the restrict general leg room.

Thats what many people think but they don't.

To which, if you have compoants, like subs... you need a certain amount of "space" to get the best from them, if the back of the pods are open, you'll find the sound can be rather tinny, and not alot of bass will be produced.

Its not exactually hard to make your own pods, after all, its a base, a few struts, and a top to place the speaker on. If I had the time and money, i'd make some up and do a FAQ, but I've already got pods, and I haven't got time to make a set. (thats if there isn't already a FAQ abouts pods...)

The other alternitve, is to make some door pockets, and point the cone upwards (about 45 degrees) towards your head.but then, you still have to make something to accomodate the speakers, and sound proof the doors, otherwise you'll get annoying little rattles when playing some heavy bass.

Only way I can see you getting speaker up the front, and with a decent qulitiy, without just throwing in some small speakers into what ever space is in the dash area, would be speaker pods, either the big CC ones, or a custom made speaker pod to fit on the floor, inner wheel arch, or even on the webbing under the dash area.

Right i've just been looking at these speaker door pockets. If i mount them with the screws going through the actual door frame itself rather than through the door cards i can fit them - and use the window winder properly.

Is that how you've got yours mounted bungle?

What are the plus sides of having the airvents in the car? I'm tempted to put my components in the dash over the airvents is that wise?

What size comps you thinking of fitting?

I think the biggest you can put in the dash are 10cm - if so, its pretty pointless.

Yeah sounds similar to what i'm having + some 6x9 subs under the back seats. Which components are they? and what amp are you running them off?

I've got 6x9s in the back and 10cm components in the front.
What I was really asking is would I regret removing my airvents?

The air vents help to prevent the windows from steaming up, quite a lot.

Well usually if you open the cold air vents it has that effect :-
