Just a thought while were on the subject because I’ll be fitting a new rubber soon (I hope) I have an 1983 City E but I bought a new rubber for the later model as it is supposed to be wider and prevent any issues of rain getting in does anyone know if it is ok to fit the later windscreen rubber to an 83 model?
I've had no probs with the standard sized one, the wider ones would hold water under it around the scuttle i would think...
