[THE ANORAK]

well I'm not actually trying to harm the reputation of the mags believe it or not, I'm trying to enlighten people who constantly question people like me who try to correct the mistakes that are made based on these incorrect facts.

we do actually know a thing or two and just because we are not on the pay roll of some company it doesn't mean we are the ones in the wrong.


i actually love the mags so much (yes both of them), and have done since they were first launched and that's why i get wound up when i feel they are "getting it wrong"

i actually came over all guilty and PM'd the Mini mag guy to let him know about the topic so he could have his say. i thought it was only fair.

this really is about the bigger picture, the mini mag article was just used as an example

I thought if they weren't interested it could be fun to nip in to WH Smiths and tuck a few correction sheets in with the article, in a public spirited kinda way

I think Anorak has a very valid point in bringing up the wrong parts in this article....as like people have said if you were after a particular model you would want to use a buyers guide to research the model and make sure its standard and original.

Please can I remind everyone that this is a public forum and we feel everyone has a valid reason to say what they please but to also keep it friendly and non argumentative.

i dont see why people are slating The Anorak, ok so it does seem a tad anal, but he knows his stuff, and has taken his own time to point out some mistakes in a magazine article that could well have been avoided. I don't see anything that states the anorak as slagging off the magazine or article writer in question either. Not everyone knows everything, just so happens that the anorak knows more about this particular model of mini than most people, so has decided to share his knowledge. just my 2 pence worth
