Redhotmini- how am I going to attach the speakers, what do I need to do because you have cut the wire, my other one just unplugged...

Now im just confused

Probably easiest just to cut the connector off your old speaker (thats broke and only good for the bin now anyway), and crimp or solder it to the two wires you have going to the new speaker.

You can temporarily, cut back the outer sheath (the plastic around the copper (probably) wire), on all wires, twist the two pairs together, then use (preferably) electrical tape to hold them together. This will at least allow you to connect it to your head unit and let you test your new speakers, and should suffice until you can get some proper automotive crimps from YorkshireChris or Halfords.

A soldering iron and a some solder. Should be able to pick both up pretty cheap at somewhere like Wicks.

No, you can solder with paper clips and a hairdryer!

as JB said, just trim the older placcy back, twist the cables together and then let JB sort it proper at the weekend :D

by the way Raz - the speakers your getting off me come with original pack of wiring so you can wire them in ok :D

sorry bout the wire, there were no plugs on them, they were just soldered on like that. if you want a soldering iron and some solder i can lend you one, or i can solder them if you prefer.

lol youd hope that its dry this summer

The speakers in!! :D and Monty runs :D his battery has been on charge the last few hours

Just going to test them out when i go out in about 15mins :P
