Been a while since i was on here last... still recovering from The Red Hot Chili Pepper Concert... which was really really cool!!!
Today i made my mother very happy by removing my carbon roof from the back room of our house... the plants can now get watered..

I hired a nibbler device from the local Tool hire place and nibbled my mini roof off, which was fun...

Left a 2" lip of the original roof, something to bond the carbon skin too.

Then used a load of Sikaflex and stuck my carbon roof skin on... took a while to line up but it looks ok now.. going to go round it again tomorrow with the sikaflex and fill in the gaps.
But this is it so far..

I didn't think the roof was so heavy... its only thin but the carbon is so much lighter..
Hope u all like

I got the roof of a mate.. but he got it from Curley... Curley Website

As for cuttin out the metal roof... its no different to puttin a full lenth sunroof in, i have a full cage to put in so it should still be as strong.. if not stronger than standard.
I've used 2 tubes of sikaflex so that roof aint going nowhere!!
Ally doors came from the same guy as the roof, but i think there from The Mini Door Company near Blackpool... but i've seen ally door skins go for about £45 a side.. not sure where tho.
