i ment saturday lol got one of the hubs striped and painted have got pics but lost the cable for my phone ill get them uploaded asap ...

hi havnt had much time to work on the mini due to moving house and fishing but i did atempt my first bit if wealding just needed a few bits on the engine bay let me know what you think

hi all bit of an update had a fw bits sand blasted and then powder coted its much less work than trying to clean rub down and then paint it your self here a pic of a few bits let me know what you think

yeh nice bit o welding there, just abit of practice really, but the angle grinder cleans it up ok.

Dont take this the wrong way but your welding needs more practice. You have poor penertration and over have of the weld is not connected to the other half.
Also, grinding it back to look good removes alot of the strength.

Best thing to do is get some off cuts of steel and practice on them first.

I agree. You've picked quite a hard place to start to weld it. I started with some scrap. Didn't take me long to get OK, then it's just a case of practice. I'm not great, but I'm getting better every time i do some. :D

not at the mo kel having a few more bits blasted and powder coted also have a oil breather catch tank made and a few other bits in the pipe line but should get more done when i take it home hows yr coming along??

to be honest i dont think theres anything wrong with that welding, obviously it'll get better but it looks fine to me.

hi all i now have all the parts to build my front sub frame back up i got the bits from l2b today had some bargins aswell i get eth pics of the bits 2mora
