As a few of you will have already seen my rebuild of my first mini Here and now that is finished i wanted another project which would be fun to do and somthing i can learn to weld on.

Ive not got many good pictures as its not been out in the open to get a full picture yet.

I bought it already stripped down and had been on axel stands for over a year. Put the wheels back on, put it on a trailer and brought it home.

These are the pictures of when it went in my garage, progress on this is going to be slow as im saving for a holiday as well as a house so its when ive got a bit of spare cash ill work on it. Aim is the IMM next year.

Started poking holes in the car to work out what was needed to get replaced.

No frame left in the rear doors.

The fibreglass was hiding what i expected.
Posted Image

Posted Image

Needs a front end. I made the first hole by leaning on it.
Posted Image

Posted Image

Also this is on both sides.
Posted Image

Rear arches are shot, going to tub the rear arches as that will remove most of the rot from them.

Under the fuel filler the pannel needs repairing.
Posted Image

Also there is a good few mill of bog in the rear pannel, looks like its been distorted by heat.
Posted Image

No more progress has been made on the shell yet. I need the shell to be moveable to put the engine back in my blue one when i get it back from the repair shop.

Update, i pulled the a-panels off... and i mean pulled with my hand, there were very shoddily welded. Drivers side rear valance also fell off due to rust.

Now my other minis back ill be getting my act together with this, wont be spending much for awhile as ive no saving left so need to save some money.

Update... well kinda.

The estate was being held up with the weather funds and other things... ie the garage... this is how it looked.

Took me 45 mins to get the estate out of the garage.

Now it looks like this, floors are sealed and ready for paint, and its alot tidier, bit more to sort out and clear my workbench.
