Hi,

Its a 1330 with Kent 296 Cam, and Hif44 carb, which is why i would have liked it to have slightly higher bhp.

I bought the engine complete over the net and after speaking to Neil at Slark racing it appears that the head could do with some work which is why it is not developing full power. Also a new exhaust and inlet manifold will help better flow. These are to be done over next winter as for now it runs great.

Cheers

Jon

Thanks

Hi,

I have been trying to sort out the look of my engine bay so sorted out the wiring, modified and painted the air box, ( i wanted to keep this as it gives better performance than a cone filter) and got rid of the huge washer bottle.

I am going to paint the radiator bracket in blue and also have bought some engine paint that i am going to paint on until the engine comes out, try and smart it up a bit.

Let me know what you think!

Hi,

The arches are Group 5's, as you can see with the rivets showing, i think you can get similar one where you have to bolt them on from behind but i wanted ones which showed the rivets.

Been playing in the engine bay again, gave the block a quick paint to cover up the red bits showing through and also colour coded the radiator bracket.

The whole car looks lovely, really like the colour.
Was the magajolt easy to install and set up?
Where did you buy the megajolt unit itself from please?
Thanks,
James.

Hi,

The megajolt was very easy to install, the only problem I had was the first trigger wheel I had was slipping on the pulley wheel so I had to buy a different one. Everything else was fine, wiring very simple. I must say that without using this forum and turbominis I would not have been able to do it though, the amount of questions i asked and searches i did helped a lot!!

I got the megajolt from autosportlabs.com in the states. Had it delivered to a work flat and brought back for me. Managed to avoid the import tax;-)

Cheers

Oh thanks for that, I was struggling to find a place that sells the unit itself.
Yeah, I found there was lots of info about MJ both on here and turbominis, but without the MJ it doesn't make a lot of sense.
Which trigger wheel do you have now? I think I'm going to buy the MED bottom pulley with the machined in teeth. It would avoid slippage that way :)
Thanks,

James

That would be my choice if i bought it again - although Tom Fenton on Turbominis sells them on an exchange basis for your pulley, good prce as well just look on the for sale section.

He also makes some decent brackets for the crank sensor if you dont want to make you own.

Cheers

Jon
