Hello, the Clubman Estate Register joining in here

When I started the CER I did consider opening this out to Clubmans in general, however the whole thing was a response to a general apathy towards the Estates not the Saloons. For example, I regularly heard 'Oh it's only a Clubman Estate...' and I believed that this was a dreadful thing to say so I decided to do something about it At the time Clubman Saloons seemed to have the same 'status' among Mini owners as all other Mini Saloons, which is why I decided to call it the CER.

For the same reason I decided not to start a general Estate Register as the other Mini Estates were already getting the respect they deserved.

If an official CSR is set up, I see no reason why it and the CER can't join together for events and so on - as long as there is equal allocation (although ours are a bit longer, you know

And it's 40 years of the Clubman next year you know

Also, there is a Clubman Club in existance already..... but I can't find its website at the moment.
The National Mini Owners Club also have a Clubman Register.

apbellamy, as you started the thread i hope you don't think i'm taking over>_< .

i had a PM from a lovely TMF member who has experience in web design & forum building, who says he'll give us a hand as he's got a clubby himself, so that should be good.

We'll work longside to create a little forum, but we still need to settle on a name?!

We need a funky, funny name, but my brain isn't working this early!

anymore ideas that we all like. i cant add a poll to this topic, but we could take a vote?!

You should know I don't mind joining in with CER Events! Last years thong run was fantastic.

I'm the tall bloke with the rough '75 blue/white clubby saloon (that wasn't roughest in show ), the dog and the red pimp suit.

I'll be along this year, hopefully in a clubby! The blue one is of the road as the tin worms have done their worst! Hopefully my new one will be one the road by then... hopefully
