The new Focus advert has an orchestra playing a piece of music. Is it just me, or is it the theme tune to Johnathon Creek!?

I disagree, very few people have actually got their XF yet, theres a 3-4 month waiting list and it was only launched a week or two ok, so I'm not sure how you've made this assumption. Jaguar are going after the BMW 5 series market with the XF, not the classic car owner, I know a few people with newish jags, yes they might have owned an old Jag a few years back, but I don't think any of them currently have a second old Jag on their drive. The vast majority of people who buy these already have a classic Jaguar and are buying a new one to use daily. The problem comes in that they are straying away as the traditional look and feel is gone.
I agree with this! If Jag only released one of their recent prototypes, they look fantastic! I'm looking forward to Jag being released from Jag ownership, but not if it goes that that Indian company.Look at the Concept cars. The XK180. The F type. The R type Coupe for example:

That's what a Jaguar should be like. Its all in the details. That's what the XF would have been. But Ford will never let them build to their full potential.
Yea, the adverts suck, but the rest of the marketing is actually very good. Their mailshot for the launch was brilliant. As for the adverts, this one isn't bad. The "Gorgeous" campaign sucked. The one before with Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" as music was cool as was the old "Art of Performance" with the leaper rising out of the water with its eyes lit up.

That's odd...it sounds exactly the same as the Purps copy I have from the original album (which also sounds different to that Youtube vid)!!The Music for the campaign is a re-mix - we have it on DVD in MPeg4 format for playback at the events...............not that I've copied it or anything
