oh god dont tempt me even more lol. found out this morning my number plates cracked and bent so ive got to dish out £30 for a new set :)

anyway might it be quite hard to get hold of mini replica 13" deepdish superlights, sportspack arches and a DTM exhaust to stick on a model? :teehee:

I’ve been working on this one...
[attachment=51142:HPIM8997.jpg][attachment=51143:HPIM9004.jpg]

along with another, a Mk1 Cooper, tamiya mini kits since Christmas, haven’t got any picks of the Cooper yet as I’ve only just started on it.

I’ve also got this tamiya R/C kit that I painted up in the same colours as my real mini.

I suppose you could make the arches and exhaust yourself

I paid 9.35 in the end for mine. Plus the postage which was only about 2.50 or something.

The good thing about mine was that it came from someone in this country as opposed to getting it in from HK.

I've done the engine now, and fitted the brakes. The biggest problem is that Tamiya have called back their spray paints.

So if anyone has a can of red spray paint laying around that they dont want anymore...give me a reasonable price and I'll PayPal some money your way...(P.S. The actual colour I need is Tamiya X-7...)

Thats all I have so far, I apologise for it not being very clear. I will prob do some more to it later.

P.S. Mighty Mini Jack - I already have two of those little jars but Im after a spray can of the stuff. Its a much nicer finish and a lot easier to do than painting it on. Thanks though, appreciated.

I already tried that, there seems to be no Tamiya spray paint available anywhere. Anyway, another model company do a very similar red so Im going to use that. I bought the can of it today, only cost three quid so that's all good.

Well i havent had much time to do much to the mini due to running around and getting ready for my daughter whos due in 3 weeks.
Anyway ive give the bonnet its 1st coat of primer and sanded down ready for its 2nd coat.
Ive finally de-seamed the front seams. This was a bit tricky as i had to watch that i diddent sand down the door hinges.
I then decided to smooth off all the bumper fixing holes and smoothed off the rear numberplate recess.

Had half hour spare tonight so i thought it was time i get the paint stripped from the shell. After leaving the shell in soak for 10 mins in brake fluid and a very quick scrub with a tooth brush i was left with this.

I will put the shell in soak for another 20 mins tonight to get the rest of the paint off.
