Must say i enjoyed the write up on your car and congrats on doing a proper job!
[/quote] Thanks for the nice words:) but becourse of room in the mag they shortened the story quit a bit. I have found a lot more info since.
Like the name "old lady maroon" :shifty: he he. serius box you made there, why did you have to work on your steering rack? worn? or for the turbo?

yeah my steering rack was just a bit sloppy, so figured it might aswell get changed while there was no engine in the subframe to make the job more awkward.

Oh I follow you on that :D changed a rack many years ago, on the floor of a barn, and with engine in place:( newer again. Who coats the manifolds overthere ? and do they put the ceramic on the inside like on the pistons ? I know my setup probably would go better with an exhaust wrap,
but the JS manifold and connector pipes is a work of art ;) and I want the car to be as original as possible:). Plus I want people to be able to see what craftsmanship JS put into it.

Hi all,

I am still trying to locate one of the JanSpeed Turbo Metro,s ?? (the last??)

still no sign of any survivor  I have found out that Nigel Mansell,s JS Metro, shared the same fate as my car :)
it blew up, and was sold as is, with its engine in bits.

I have seen the remains that were sold in the 3 different Ebay auctions, plus Phil,s engine, this leaves atleast one car -
as Norm (X JanSpeed imploie) told me they made atleast a handfull Metro,s .
