what about metro turbo ones though?I don't think alloys off the K series metros will fit. The alloys on the A series GTa's are pretty much the same looking as the wheels on the Gti K series.

Not quite right. The Metro's with the A series engine had Mini driveshafts, hubs and wheels. Therefore any wheels off a 1l or 1.3l Metro will fit. The Metro's that used the K series (1.1l and 1.4l) had Metro driveshafts, hubs, wheels, and those won't fit.The stud patern is the same so as long as you have the correct nuts for the wheels then yes they fit.

If they're off an A+ yes. Basically as far as I'm aware, if they're off an A+ they will fit, K series they won't.
well these i think are turbo ones

Probably wrong though!!
A chap I used to work with had those wheels on his Mini, looked quite nice as well.
Have you already got the wheels?

The same wheels were on the Gta and the later MG turbos. There was never an A+ Metro Gti.
I knew that!!!
I meant Gta, it just came out as Gti

Didn't try them at the front but guess even if they did fit they'd catch the inner wing on full lock.

I tried a set of steel wheels from an A-series Metro on my old mini. Stud pattern & PCD was the same, but the offset's different and it fouled the radius arm at the rear. That was with the later spacer-ed drums too.
Didn't try them at the front but guess even if they did fit they'd catch the inner wing on full lock.
hmm, well the arches are cut out massively and we have massive spacers handy....

The more spacers you fit the more stress and strain to put the wheels studs, brgs and the other suspension componants. This make them more likely to fail!!
If you can try the wheels on the car before you buy, that would be best

the wheels are quite wide actually. The easy answer is yes, however looking at your other thread and seeing the size if the arches on it, the amount of spacers you would need to get those wheel to the fill the arches would be huge!!

If you look at mini wheel and put a ruler across the front of the tyre, then measure the distance between the edge of the ruler and the nut holes, then do the same to a metro rim this distance will be less on the metro rim.
This means than when you bolt the wheel to the car the innermost edge of the wheel will be closer to the car than the the mini one. This will then foul on the suspension componants and hence the need for spacers!!
Phew!! I think i have explained that correctly!!
