woo should be getting this in about a week, dad spoke to him today as havnt been able to getin contact this week.
The guy is a teacher and hasnt been able to get the free time to mess with the bug, altho now its half term (well wensday) he will have some freetime and spend a day cleaning it up and sorting everythin out. SO hopefully by this time next week will have more luck then have so far, he said not to worry he wont sell it to anyone else as he knows i have my heart set on it

just had phonecall off guy and said hes put a new petrol pump on it and turned it over,fired up striahgt away and's running great. Asked us to go look tommorow morning...hopefully gettin it this week then

these VW thing have a real habbit of self combusting

if you get it replace all fuel lines and use the real pipe clips and make sure the fuel filter is next to the tank and not in the engine bay

been round this morning, engine runs nicely starts perfect...he also has found alot of history, mot's back to early 90's including failure sheets and work had done for them. Drove it up and down the drive just see how gears were and were fine,brakes worked alright aswell. Looking good. He is going away for a day or two but going round when he is back and prob buying it then and there

Also took better look at channels and floor, seem pretty solid apart from that post, also checkered around battery and all seems good

i am gettin this soon, just been awkwad as the guy who has it atm is a teacher and didnt get time off work till thursday last week and ive been doing extra hours at work every day since then apart from easter sunday (he called us to pop up and take look now engines runnin then) and the tuesday this week but been busy. Working 12-9 today and tommorow so cant really pop round after work either, have friday off and workin weekend then back to uni (luckly i live at home and go to local uni so i have time to work on it etc then) so ill prob be getting it either friday or early next week as i now have the money and its got the seal of approval off my parents and family lol.

Cant wait, really frustrating knowing its just up road and you can buy it but not having time to get it yet

ps- MIlage isnt what said was earlyer,my dum dad didnt realise clock went up to 99999 before going around so it currently reads 38000. Owner says may of been around once but isnt sure as has all mot;d certificates while he's owned it (over 10 yrs) and some of previous owners and only done about 10k since he had it and previous owner never used it much.

Drove it back down road and it drove lovely, handlings v nice gearbox seems v nice too.

new carpets are on to get list, wana get it on road soon as i can. Shouldnt be hard as only needs that one bottom pillar bit doing and have panel, might even call mobile welder this week to do it (did decent job on my mini inside wing and wings + front panel for good price)

Also to get-
Front disc conversion kit
new seals on doors and front window
New front sunvisors as pretty dirty and moldy
New matieral for around rear parcel sorta area as is torn
New exhaust as currents bit rusty
Possibly new running boards

then nice lookin bits =D
Roof rack wheels bumpers etc
