Went to see it with tom the 1st time and to be honest it looked ace, when i walked past it y-day on the way to the hardware store it put a smile on my face LOL..

Got to come and see it tomorrow

just got back fro work and dads been cleaning it most the day and removing surface rust ready to repair. Also got better look at the corner that needs doing when took door off properly.

Had a look at this when you were at work, me and robin saw your dad messing about with it so we thought we'd pay a visit lol.

Well apart from that corner which in all fairness is a easy fix. it is all surface...apart from some minor parts like under the decklid but exteriour of it is solid so no worries + if worst came to worst there cheap and plentyful and have original paint.

1st thing is get that corner done and MOT'd
Underseal it all
New seals on boot,bonnet,doors and maybe windows if need to
Then get disc conversion for front, and full set new carpets for interiour
Dad likes look of bonnet bras sayin i should get one lol...im still not sure

Then what ever i feel like as time goes, new inside of glovebox (isnt one there just drops down to petrol tank)
Roofrack.....cool retro accessories, genrally want to keep it pretty original tho as will easily keep its value, looking at good condition simular ones same years even with bits of rust are going for around 2k!

failed on 1 or two minor things (didnt tell all jst had phonecall earlier today off mecanic)

One of which was the headlights bit dimb and new bulb for rear indicator....beside that fine, totaly solid engine running good after tune and oil change and the mecanic said its one the solidest beetles he's ever seen lmao (once he had it up on the ramps looking underneath)

Should be getting it back tommorow, sunday at latest,driving it next week
