I take it that everyone plays"dream lottery workshop"then

The one with water jet cutters and every machine tool known to man.

Enough space to house your dream car collection?

I've got 17.5% of a garage, does that count?

its something i can see myself doing

its something i enjoy, something i can actually do

:(

i have been looking into it in a small scale this week, its just the initial outlay of the machines and obviously the rent of the unit.

You can make a decent living at it.

The chap who does our machining at work is a 1 man band, small unit burried in dodgy industrial estate.

Couple of mills, lathes, surface grinders etc

He does pretty well at it.

Charges @£30 per hour, and is always busy.

that building looks amazing for some B&W photos :( :(

its obviously not an easy business, and i know i wont make thousands of pounds worth of profit easily.

working with simon has shown me something i like doing, something im not too bad at either :dontgetit: bit more practice and i'd be all good :)

A big old industrial building, used to be a flax mill and the exterior is modelled on an egyptian temple... it was then used by Kays (now Littlewoods) catalogue to pack orders, hence the picking slips and other office type C**p scattered all over the place.

It's all fenced off now though, so you can't just wonder in :(
