You will get experience on different machine tool and will allow you to pick up contacts when you go it alone!!
I use people like this all the time, in the last 4 weeks I've commisioned £5ks worth of work.
Thats just on one project, our company probably spend £1-2k per month on getting parts repaired replaced.

If its something your good at then It may be worth trying to get a job with a local toolmaker/machinist.

i got another year at uni

im enjoying modifying heads aswell, gonna have a go at some in the garage

wow! i love seeing stuff like this! thats why i love looking at photos of cowley and longbridge so much!

All I did was literally turn it black and white, and then lassoo the lights from the colour pic (and paste them somehow, fireworks is so damn hard to use!) and lassoo'd the white lines and filled them in yellow

Anything more technical than that and I'm lost! lol

just him and his wife run it, quite a bit of CNC lathe work he just keeps running on a bar feed all day, then he has time to run the other machines as well. not bad for a 24 year old. father in law owns the building so the rent is reasonable, plus half the building is rented to another company which covers their rates.
