Yes.

I need some advice, I'm thinking about selling the Cooper and replacing it with a Clubman Estate. I can't really see many disadvantages to it, it would be more practial then the Cooper and more unique for Mini shows. The only real disadvantages I can see is possibly reilability, especially in winter, and the brakes as I''m guessing it will be drums all round. I'll be using it as a daily driver, my commute is only a 16 mile round trip though.

Am I mad?

you could always amalgamate the 2 - convert clubby estate to mpi with all the nice bits in a cool shell

er, well cn you buy it in advance? do the midifications for reliability/brakes/what ever and the flog the cooper if neccesary?

That might actually be a sensible idea, I could afford to do that as well. Probably go for 7.5" discs, but what could I do to improve reliability? Other then give it a full service of course.

Don't think I'll be doing that, a lot of work involved and I'd need a third car so I could still get to work. Does sound very cool though.

I would be keeping the engine pretty much standard, to keep it reilable. A megajolt system could be the way to go.

No silly cams or webbers.

Well I should know really, seeing as I'm always drinking paint stripper/girliepops.

But I don't. I would guess it wouldn't.

Hello people!!!

I see the the thong run has affected James????

Get a clubby, stick electronic ignition on it, a HIF carb, Twin box RC40, good fettle, new shocks, fuse box, door/window seals etc job done

The estates actually make a nice daily driver, the longer wheelbase make the car ride nicer(in my opinion) than the saloon.

1100 engine pulls well, could fit 12" rims to lower revs and increase fuel economy?

Oh and its gotta be poo brown!!

They all looked so nice at the Thong Run, I'd be happy with any of them.

I'll be keeping the modifications to a minimum, want to keep it as standard as I possibly can.

12" wheels would probably be better, especially if I decide to fit 8.4" discs. But I'd do love 10" wheels so I might stick with them.

Any colour would be good, especially poo brown for that 70s retro look.
