what do u think about a mpi supercharged , easy?

and apparently a carb supercharged engine only prouces 60hp errrr i dont think so but... so im told.

and how hard is it to convert a mpi or spi to carb ?

it was re-shelled by 2 lads in wolverhampton and i bought it from them, shes doing OK, still waiting to get her in for dyno.

the Z is really rather nice

I've just fitted the wheels to the new project

I don't really know the answer but 60bhp sounds WAY out!!!

I'm sure I've seen a very similar recent thread about converting to injection?

Surely a carb would be easier?

well, everything is screwed together, electrics are being a bit weird, maybe battery needs to be fully charged? Its a Tamiya 1/10 scale, the lads painted the shell and put works logos all over it its FWD as well - quite detailed !

I'll bring it to gaydon - we can gaffa tape one of my battery powered cameras to it

If you're refering to my reply to that thread, I meant a standard carb engine without a supercharger.

The kits generally work better on the MPi, as it's the Eaton M45 supercharger from the BMW MINI.

You can still get a supercharger kit for a carb Mini, don't know what sort of power you would get out of it though.

Remember you'll have to upgrade the cooling system to cope with the large increase in power.
