It's not the introduction to the VeeDub scene that I'd always wanted, but it'll do for now!
I've recently bought this future classic off ebay
Check out the interior!
Typical rusty VeeDub engine bay, needs a decent clean up and some repainting, but it's still got all the original wax all over it
It's done a reasonable miles (120k) but it's fully original apart from the addition of a Weber carb to replace the original Pierburg unit, the previous owner even installed an original factory fitted Pioneer headset into it
So, it's now insured so that I can go and pick it up tomorrow and tax it. Then it's getting put to use as a daily driver for now. Sort of a running project rather than one that's taken off the road.
My plan is to basically get it as mint as possible, then go for the Euro look, by fitting some coilovers and lowering it, then getting some wide BBS rims for it so they fill the arches really neatly. I'm also going to look out for a decent interior, preferably leather and do a retrim on it. My main reason for buying it was really to put less miles on the FReaK and to enable me to sort out the niggling problems that I've had with the FReaK before I go to GerMini.

I also think its a bit of a classic already, and there's a lot of Rocco fans out there believe it or not, so look after it and you'll definitely get your money back when it comes to selling.
