My ol' mans just pointed out there is an early rocco like that lying dormant on someones drive, and has been for a few years. I will be knocking the door next time i'm passing!

lovely things sciroccos, check the brakes work,.. seems to be the only teething problem a few had. Great car. lovely!

Aye, the brakes are pap on them, well, the pedal feel is pap anyway. It's because the servo and master cylinder is on the N/S and is connected to the pedals via a long rod. Bit of play in the assembly = rubbish feeling pedal, but they still stop the car OK.

Well, I've done a few hundred miles in her now and all's going well. Decided that she deserves a good service so I'm going to give her an oil change and may do the cam belt this weekend. Also, the front pads are a little thin so they're going to be replaced.

I also fitted an old 10 CD shuttle in the boot with a minidisc HU the other day. It's been sat in the garage for about 4 years so I thought I might as well put it to use. I found that it still had 10 CDs in there

Well, I've taken to spending money on the 'Rocco! I've fitted a new cambelt this weekend, new oil/filter, air filter, got meself a noo set of spark plugs, but I've noticed that she needs a new dizzy cap and rotor arm. So that's the next little job. Plus I need to get myself a decent timing light and get the timing spot on. She has a slight tendency to run on now and then. I'm also thinking of trying to convert it back to the standard carb, rather than the Weber that's on it.

Plus, the handling's a little too bouncy on the back for my liking, so I might get a set of decent shocks for it. Don't really want to lower it, so I'm going to have a shop around for some decent bits.

Aaand, I've sorted the stereo out! New bit of wiring here and there and a 10 CD changer in the boot, minidisc head unit up front, with a little column mounted remote control. Nice and '90's!
