Ah right I see, beetle roofs are curved. I should know, I restore the bloody things for a living! No pics of the rack yet, waiting for it to be delivered!

could you not bend the legs? if you try, heat up the areas you're gonna bend, save cracking the paint. I've recently bought a BMC one for £30 so I'm laughing

just got it a few days ago.... I put it together last night and put it on the car.... doesn't drop right on ... the front is narrower than the rear, and the rear is a tad too wide for the roof rails and the front a tad narrow... and the center strut doesn't come down far enough to touch the roof rail.... I'll have to cut the front and rear struts to let the middle one touch, and I'll have to widen the front and narrow the rear.... I don't have the tools/skill to do it, so I'll have to get a local welder or bodyshop to do it.... kinda disappointing, but fixable....

Ahhhh DANG IT! U sure you're not better off returning it?
