Oh phew :dontgetit: I thought they might have been stopped due to poor grip, wear or something.

Saying that I saw them being sold at Himley Hall, 'cause I was gutted I paid so much more for them elsewhere.

My birthday treated me and b to some new goodies including an alarm, bullet wing mirrors (door), fire extinguisher & a tool kit! so I'll get around to installing these soon & then once the alarm is done I can use my birthday money to buy a sound system >_<.

No pictures I'm afraid but I've been away for the weekend at Glastonbudget :) so my poor Dad has been out in the rain fixing & fitting a few things.

+ Indicators & brake lights work.

+ Rerouted the reverse switch (temp) to a rocker switch, so when I need to reverse I need to flick the switch on/off.

+ Pop riveted the strut bar underneath the rear seat.

+ Fitted the alarm (bar the boot sensor) I just need to the give the manual a read and set things up.

+ Fixed the heater so the 'car' option works.

So yeah, nice to have things working again :) and I owe my Dad even more now for spending his weekend in the wet on b.

Good morning Dad :(.

+ Flushing out the cooling system.

+ Fitting the fire extinguisher.

I'll get changed and then get out with a hose and give her a quick clean down & then programme the alarm.

With the help of Dad again, the old wing-mirrors have come off and the new ones have gone on, It's quite amazing how much of a difference they've made.

Some pictures of the work that's gone on either today or in the past few days.

Fire extinguisher, with added trickle of water.. :(

Posted Image

Alarm LED light, so happy about this being installed.
Just need to secure the shock sensor and it's complete.

Posted Image

Bullet wing mirrors.

Clean :1eye:.

I think I might continue to save, buy the disc conversion so I can fit 10 x 6" wheels, new arches & hi los, I think that will total £500 - £600, but it'll make such a difference to her.

I'll see how things go with the finance situation, summer holidays coming up so I can work plenty of overtime.

Aha, I'd let my Dad explain but he's out.

It's an old light my Dad had, you'd wind down the window a little when parked up and then sit that on the lip of the window, so both sides light up, I guess it just made the car more visible at night.

We used it in the mini to test how far back the problem was with the wires, eliminating areas.

I haven't done anything since the last update due to lack of money :) but because I'm 18 now I get paid an extra £40 a month at Tesco, so this months wages will bring..

+ A dashboard from Custom Consoles.

+ Headunit.

+ 4" speakers x2 to fit the airvent holes.

I'm not sure if I should let halfrauds fit the sound system, or do it myself with Dad? Is it a hard thing to do?

Then at a later date I'll think about buying a speaker board for underneath the rear seats and fitting some subs.

Fit it yourself.

Start reading up on it.

It's not as difficult as it sounds.

Do it yourself, save money, if you want help, I will help you, easy enough.

Cheers
