although not quite what anyone is after, you might find this interesting, wheather this was like this when it came out the factory, im not sure.
found it on a trip to the museum in gaydon.
aha, i was trying to find a pic of this but it seems i only have it on video

this is NOT an original cooper car co van, and if i remember correctly (from the museum data sheet) cooper never used Mini vans.
this is actually a "what it would of looked like car" created by the people who restored the van
still very cool and nice to see

still pretty cool though
edit: just had a look through my collection (most likely small by your standards!) of photos and i havent found anymore like the ones you want, but i did find some interesting ones of AJB 66B with a single white stripe on the bootlid on the OS, and two white stripes, like the coopers are known for.

That was so they could tell the difference between the cars on the track/circuit.
Usually seen more on Rally cars... nowadays, the touring car teams usually have cars with different coloured sun strips! lol

what books/dvd's you got with all these little gems on information in?

the best DVD to get is "the mini cooper" DVD, again its a heritage production and is available from mini spares i think, this is definitely worth getting.
i keep dribbling over the "anatomy of a works car" book (or something like that) but there always something else i have to spend my money on

My car's ready for pinstripes at the end of the week!

Does anyone have a super high res picture like the one above so I can get the letters made up?
Thanks lots if you do, and less if you don't!
