Are you really that desperate shereeAfternoon All,
Has anybody done trials for medical research?
I know you can get a bit of cash, but I just wondered if anyone had any experience of this?!
I knoe about the "Elephant Man" thing that happened couple of years back, but anybody done 'em?

But nope, I think the big toe is a bit too obvious to disguise a 'medical mistake' and actually needed for day to day balance and walking duties!

It'd probably be less of a problem for a little toe, but a mates Mum had to have her big to removed (can't remember why now) and it took her months to get the hang of balancing and walking.

You'd be surprised how much you use your toes for balance without even realising.

Yep... the big toe does an important job!
But the little toe isn't quite so necessary.... Sy had a bone tumour and had his little toe and half the bone down the side of his foot removed a couple of years ago. After getting over the initial uncomfort of surgery he was back to normal within 6 weeks, and has never noticed any problems since!

Actually you dont use your toes for balance, thats all done by your ears really. Its all to do with walking. I wont bore you with the details but wihtout your big toes it makes walking very difficult due to the structures in your foot not being able to work as effectively. A little toe would be fine, they dont do much really anyway, lolYou'd be surprised how much you use your toes for balance without even realising.
