Went to SurfBlue in Nottingham, and Geoff advised changing the coolant temp sensor with a new one. Once I had the part (£11 - bargain!), I changed them over (after much swearing etc), and now Monty runs better than ever! No splutterng, no problems starting, just sweet sweet engine noise!
