Ok, you will need to clear the DNS cache of the stand alone computer then. (Method 1)

Failing that, follow this from the computer you want to use to access TMF.

start > contorl panel

network connections

right click wireless network connection > properties

in the dialog box that opens click "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" to highlight it.

Click the properties Button

In the new dialog box that will open select the "General" tab

There will be 2 groups there, click the radio button "Use the following DNS server addresses:"

Enter into the "preferred DNS server:"
208.67.222.222

Enter in the "ALternate DNS server:"
208.67.220.220

Click "ok"

Click "ok"

Your network connection will restart automaticaly. If this fails to fix the problem let me know and i will give you a method to do this for you specific router.

Oh forgot to mention when I did save the ip and web address to my hosts file it came up unable to save changes and then told me to do via a save as, but I did place it under the specified path.

That will be why then. It has to be the exact same file. You will need to be logged in as an administrator or with an account with administrative privlages. Worth a go, disconnect your network before trying to make the change to the hosts file.

start > run > cmd

ipconfig /release

Use method 2

start > run > cmd

ipconfig /renew

Method 3 will use a diffrent OpenDNS rather than Tiscalis. If you get really stuck ad me to msn if you use it: omol AT hotmail DOT com Will be at home from about 5 - 6.30 today and i will fix the problem remotely for you.

it won't let me get on permanently at home, it signs me in, shows the members homepage, with the board up & then wherever I click, regardless of inbox, post etc it signs me out!

Work's fine though!
