pendulum are mainstream rubbish

spot on Pendulum really are nothing special they produce SOME good stuff but then milk it by producing another 3 similar sounding tracks. If u do happen to like their new album ypu will be blown away by some decent D&B from less known artists

i hate people that say they are mainstream, the only reason they are mainstream is because alot of people (mainly the people moaning on here) were introduced to d&b through the three guys and listened to them because the first album was so god damn good. I think it could be a very good album for certain people (in silico) but its not my thing, its not my genre of drum and base.

stop moaning about a genius group of guys, every time ive seen them live they have been amazing, especially at global gathering, and if they are so 'commercial' and rubbish then why would the best Mc's in the world such as Mc Eksman be representing them then? Get drunk, go to global, watch them mix 'rage against the machine - killing in the name of' into a drum and bass set, with eksman mc'in over the top, then speak, until then, dont judge what you dont no, d&b isnt designed to be listened to from a cd, its designed to be mixed on vinyl live.

i've seen pendulum live twice and both times they were distinctly average (but i still had a good night) compared to the likes of London electrizity or any one thats played at the Hospitality events. The reason top MCs represent them is cause they are the most well known producer of D&B out there, which has nothing to do with how good they are at all.

I'm quite liking Propane Nightmares. I'm not a big DnB fan, but this album doesnt just appeal to the hardcore fans.

i somehow doubt that the mc's would work for people they dont like, they aint earning huge amounts of dollar and the likes of eksman and fearless can work with whoever the hell they want. Pendulum have always been mint when ive seen em, good enough not to have people chat carp like this about them. But ive prefered high contrast, logistics, zinc, hype, andy c. Not a london electricity fan, but some tracks r good.

TBF i've never known pendulum much, but i loved granite when i first heard it and still do.
But my first reaction when i heard the following single(s?) was exactly what people are saying here, they just sounded the same.
I don't think going mainstream is the issue. Ultimately if the music you make is liked more people than that of a more off the wall and totally unknown band, then something must be right. I don't think bands go commercial quite so conciously as people think, they are naturally going to be influenced by the more popular music already around so its a natural progression a lot fo the time (though not always for the better).
What I don't like is when a band produce one good sound and stick to it like glue. And though i haven't heard more than the released tracks (and so i know my opinion doesn't have the greatest grounding), i think pendulum are in danger of this happening.
Still, doesn't seem to have affected their album sales...

Just got it earlier, gotta say, its blistering! Its a really cool new style from pendulum, theres a lot more vocal and guitar in it now, giving more of a rocky drum and bass feel. Anyway, as soon as I get my subs in the mini, it'll be blasting outta my system hehe
