Hey there,

I was just wondering what is the NCAP rating for the classic mini, i had a look on the website and it is not listed, y?

I know its not going to be great becuase the mini is basicly like a tin can, my mates saxo has a rating of 2 star and i though that was strong lol

Anyway anybody know, i was just wondering thats all

Thanks
James

Fortunately the mini pre-dates that euro nonsense....

and would probably still do better than some of the *cough* cars which are on the road now..

The Mini was made before Euro NCAP came into force. Simple.

Well this one stood up rather well to a 50mph head on with a larger car: -

You can read about all the gory details on this thread (scroll down to Ade's messages at the bottom). And yes he walked away from that.

yes. body still in the car, lots of blood on the road infront of it. The other car was at fault and was heading towards the camera (you can see skid marks where he went across the road into the mini's path.) mini was doing 40 but was knocked 20 mtrs backwards with the force. other car then hit the tree (look how high up the tree he hit, bark is missing.)

that just goes to show there are some rite dumbasses driving behind the wheels of cars today thinking they are indestrucible!!!!!

i feel sorry for the the family of the person who was in that mini...god knows what they went through.
