IMO the best place to put speakers is in the pods you can buy from custom consoles that bolt to the underside of the bottom dash rail. I would put some componets and crossovers in those, with tweaters on your top rail. Then I would get a set of kenwoods 6 by 9 subs to put under the rear seats and a set of 5" spekers on your parcel shelf and a good amplifier. All in it would probably cost you £250, but the sound will be great, i will get some piccys up tmz along with an update on the seats, they came today!

My seats are finally in! They took a lot of fettling but I got there in the end lol. Basically I had to take the old subframes off of my metro seats and modify them and make brackets to fasten them to the new seat, this is what I came up with;

Flippin heck, just realised I hadnt updated for ages, but then I have been a busy boy lol. Wish I never went to cannon hill park now, it ended up in a bit of a disaster as my though decided to lose oil quite dramatically whilst travelling at 70mph on the motorway. I only noticed when the engine started to get louder than normal and then the dreaded nocking side came! I pulled over, checked my oil and it was running below minimum on the dipstick and there was oil all over the left hand side of the engine bay, we later came to the conclusion that the driveshaft oil seel had perished hence the leak! Thankfully I dont think it is too damaged but I am sending the engine off to be repared properly, so i decided it would be a great time to start work on cutting off my front ready for my clubby front end!

I went to gaydon on saturday, bit dissapointed really, the place was absaloutely dead! But never mind because I managed to pick up my clubby front and carbon fibre bonnet from custom minis;

Will be watching this with close attention! I'm planning in the near future to change my roundnose to a clubby front, best of luck with the build mate.

cheers buddy, it will be updated quite frequently these next coming weeks. Obviously I am having my engine re-built (If it is reparable) and putting the front end on so plenty to do there, and the most exciting of all my mini is booked in for a re-spray on the 17th august. Its going to be Nissan Skyline R32 Gun Metal Grey!



should compliment the carbon fibre nicely I feel.

That's even more towards what I wanted It'll be months/years yet until I get to that stage I think, money doesn't come fast working only 2 days a week

yes I have a fan hehe.

Put it this way mate, at least you have more time to do what you want to do. I work 6 days a week just so I can pay for all of this, it aint easy but it should be worth it!

Did you see the picture someone posted up of a grey clubman a few days ago? can't remember which subforum it was in, but it was gorgeous!
