Scrap the turbo route too lol. I have just invested in a Slarke 1380 race engine and 45 dcoe weber! Will post pics up soon. Cant wait! Aparantley it produces 103bhp at the wheels so not bad at all!

waaahhhhhoooooooooooo, an update! My front end is finally on, and it was really eay, I am suprised at how well it fits, my hat goes off to custom minis.

Lol yeah its a like a patchwork quilt at the moment, cant wait for my re-spray. No Im not keeping the arches, going for some group 7's, Ill post up a piccy of them at some point.

cheers buddy. Well been to crich today so not really got much done to be honest, however I did take my front off to give the tabs that I welded to the a-panels a little hammerite, they had rusted already just being out in the elements over night! Some piccies to follow a little later I suspect!

Not updated for ages so here goes again lol,

I cut out the gaps in the front so that the grille lips could sit in the front, then I testedthe grille to check the fit;


Looks quite mean I think!

Then I had to tackle the headlights so I began by cutting the hole for the passenger side, deliberately too small so that I could file away what I did not need to make sure the headlight bowl fitted nice and snug, so i started with this;



then this..........



and now the bowl is in (as you can see my workshop is not in the tidiest of condition lol;



Tomorrow's job will be to cut out the other hole for the drivers headlight and then get my free forms lights fitted!



If I have time I may even start fettling with my arches, we shall see.

The good news is my 998 is fixed and raring to go, but this time it is fitted with a 276 kent cam and 3.2 diff so I should have a better top end than 75mph lol.
