I want to do a wide racy mini that is a gunmetal flip with a wide offset BRG stripe. Mmmm...

As you mentioned blue or purple I thought I'd mention mine its VW Windsor Blue but it seems to have a cool flip being a metallic in that its a dark blue normally, and light blue and purply in the sun! It was already this colour before I got it, but I love it!

Kingfisher and hawaiian blues are good choices, or tahiti for a dark finish which IMHO looks good with chrome. Huey is a Ford colour, imperial blue, which has some purple in it

have to say at the mo i am quite likin the look of tahiti blue.......so thats going on the list of options! n am slowly building up my collection of chrome bits to go on me ickle mini once it's finsihed! got set of 2 spot lights for grill, jus won ebay auction for brand new bullet mirrors! so gonna keep my eyes open for other things chrome.. lol!

I like the look of the minis that have the bottom half a strong colour and the window post and roof a lighter colour, there were a couple in one of the mags recently, i think it is different and really cool, think one was BRG and gold, proper retro! I'd like a dark purple on mine, possibly with a green flip.

i went in to town today n on the way i kept my eyes open for colours that i like and theres jus sooooo many!! i want my mini multicoloured!!!! either that or lots of different minis, one in each colour :grin: dint buy a lottery ticket........fat chance of me being able to afford lots of different minis then!!!! :cry2:

You could get a dark blue or purple one.... but add glitter!!!!
It would match ur shining personality!

I think with all the colour options out there and as you have a fresh start you should get a colour that wasnt an original mini colour... otherwise you'll spend loads and it'll just look like that one, and oh, that one, etc etc...

So many choices.....

How about the dark gunmetal metallic grey that the new Bini Cooper S's come in? With a black roof, and a silver/white union jack emblem on the roof? I really wanted to do the Clubby that colour, but have stuck with the bronze now.

All your chromey bits would go lovely with that dark colour, and look great.

OR

How about Ford RS blue, the same colour as the RS Focus's and Fiesta ST's come in? Thats a nice deep colour.

its a sort of purple/blue looks very good in sun light
